Get into the festive spirit in this Christmas tour in Philadelphia that will have you Ho Ho Ho-ing all the way home! If you have trouble getting into the swing of the season, we'll have you feeling festive in no time - trust us!
Your Philly tour begins at the Clothes Pin sculpture at the corner of Market and 15th Street, opposite Philadelphia's City Hall, the cultural and geographic heart of Philadelphia's city centre. After you've met your guide, we'll walk into a holiday light and sound show featuring the world’s largest pipe organ. No messing about on this tour, we'll throw you right into Christmas! This show has delighted generations of Philadelphians during the holiday season, and it's sure to have the same effect on you. After the show, we enter a historic railroad terminal and head downstairs to one of the country’s largest and most historic indoor markets. Here, you’ll see a seriously impressive model train set displayed for the holidays, which is sure to take you right back to your childhood and fill you with that festive feeling of wonder!
As we continue to tour Philadelphia, we head to an iconic public park for one of Philly's fastest growing traditions. Here you’ll visit a traditional outdoor Christmas village, where you’ll have a chance to explore this winter wonderland. You’ll definitely be tempted by the many holiday food and drink choices, no doubt about that! After the village, we’ll treat you to a sweet holiday snack as we walk past the Ben Franklin Parkway with views of the Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul, a Christmas destination for many Catholics in the Philadelphia area.
Your Philadelphia city tour continues to one of the newest attractions in Philly. You’ll be treated to a spectacular holiday show from one of the world’s largest LED TV screens inside one of Philly’s newest skyscrapers. From there, we enter one of Philly's biggest shopping and restaurant districts. This neighbourhood is always buzzing at this time of year, and while you stroll around you'll catch some views of the fantastic holiday window displays.
The tour concludes at Rittenhouse Square, where you’ll see the beautiful Christmas tree and a view of the church where one of our favorite Christmas carols was written and first performed. From here, you'll have a chance to continue eating, shopping, and exploring, basking in the holiday spirit of Philadelphia.

Jason was a terrific guide. He was very (very!) informative. I am a relatively new resident to this area and I learned quite a bit about the local lore, etc. In addition to being impressed by Jason's knowledge, he was also very attentive to the group and interacted well. He exercised the right amount of caution for everyone given the city surroundings.
Jason also exhibited outstanding leadership when we encountered an uncomfortable situation in the Rittenhouse area on Chestnut, around DiBruno Brothers. There was a woman, who was obviously not well, who was acting out verbally then turned to our group and looked as if she was going to get physical. Jason stayed composed and calm, even when the woman started to turn on him. He was very protective of the group. I hope that special recognition will be given to Jason for his actions during that situation.

We have done tours in several states and Philadelphia besides the Holiday Tour and have loved them all with the different guides. I would highly recommend tours done by Urban Adventure. All have been knowledgeable, personable and relayed facts you will not get on other tours.

Arielle was our guide on the Holiday tour and she did a terrific job. I am definitely going on another tour with Urban Adventures.

Our guide, Chris, was excellent. His enthusiasm and love of Philly is contaiguous. It was good to encouter a "native" who doesn't knock our adopted city of 25 yrs. So many people born and raised in Philly do that; they also are not as knowledgable as Chris is about the city. The tour did not meet all of our expectations as we expected more at the train exhibit, and the Comcast center was a slight disapointment. But that was not because of any fault with Urban Adventures, just the locations. It was a fun time and we strongly recommed it to others. One addition that might enhance the tour is if participants were given a small map of the area covered with the sites highlighted. This would help orient people and would a nice token of the trip for out of town visitors.

Ariel made our 3 hour adventure fly by. She kept our spirits up even though the weather didn't cooperate. She really humanized Philly for us, made it come alive and feel more like a person than a thing.
We only wish that the adventure had ended up where it began.
Many thnaks, Ariel for a great experience!
